Loafin' Around

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

As the weather warms up I am always looking for the best slip on shoe option. I am not a huge fan of flip flops, so those are out. Flats are great, but sometimes I want to mix it up a bit. I've been seeing a lot of loafers. I loved these silver pair that are basically a neutral so they go with everything. I have been wearing mine with boyfriend jeans and t-shirts. For even easier access, I picked up these adorable bow slides that will also match with any outfit. What's your go to Spring shoe?

The 3 C's of the Straw Bag

Clutch: 1 / 2 / 3       Circular: 1 / 2 / 3      Crossbody: 1 / 2 / 3

Adorable little straw bags have been popping up all over my Instagram feed. These bags are the perfect summer accessory! In the warmer months, I often find myself reaching for a smaller bag especially when going to an event or a concert. I ended up purchasing this bag and I cannot wait to style it with all of my summer dresses. I also love the circular style straw bags, but I just haven't found the perfect one for me just yet. A straw clutch would be so cute paired with a floral dress for an outdoor wedding. Ohh, that gives me a great idea for a post! While I do not have nay weddings this summer, I am sure quite a few others do! Hope you have a happy Tuesday!

Billboard Music Awards 2017: Best Dressed

Last night was the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Drake won top album and Cher was honored for 6 decades of success, but it was Celine Dion that stole the show with her performance of "My Heart Wil Go On." There were tears in everyone's eyes as the camera scanned the audience. No one performs like Celine Dion.

Before Celine Dion made us feel all the feels. There was the red carpet. Here are a few of my favorite looks of the night.

 Alexandra Daddario
Okay, so this dress does somewhat resemble a curtain, but Daddario wears it so well. She can pull off old Hollywood glamour like no one else. Her porcelain white skin looks beautiful against the golden dress.

  Bebe Rexha
I read some publications calling this look the perfect 90s looks. Maybe if she added a choker? To me, this is just a classic LBD. It's flattering and sexy, enough said.

 Kate Beckinsale
Can Kate do wrong? I love the plunging v-neck and the fun firework print. She definitely lit up the red carpet.

Maia Mitchell
I love this look, however, I think it was worn to the wrong venue. The Cannes Film Festival is going on right now and I can see this look strutting down that red carpet.

April Favorites

I am always most excited to read and write monthly favorite posts.  I love finding out what other people have loved using, and I like to reflect back on products that have really made an impact in my beauty routine. This month is no different with these five products I swear by.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette - I purchased this amazing palette a few months ago. It has all the colors I like to wear regularly, from soft beige to deep browns. I also love the pinks and purples, which I have started to incorporate into more of my looks. Every time I do my eye makeup with this palette I receive compliments. Bonus, this palette smells of fresh peaches.

Flint Lint Roller - I heard about this product from one of my go-to bloggers and I immediately jumped on the site to purchase two. One I keep in my purse and other one stays at home. They have been great for on the go and fit in even my most compact of bags.

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation - I bought this when I was in a pinch and really wasn't willing to shell out the usual bucks for my Laura Mercier foundation. I really have come to like this foundation. It does not clog my pores, which is always the biggest issues with foundation. I know it says "skin clearing," but you never know. I cannot say whether my skin has improved using this, but it has not gotten worse. The only bad thing is that if I use a little too much, it can create a cakey look. Not ideal. I just need to work on a gentle hand when applying.

Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream - I received this product in my Sephora Play Box a few months ago and I have kept it close ever since. My skin gets very dry in the winter and I found most moisturizers I tried were just too heavy and ended up doing more damage than good (read: clogged pores). This formula is so light and has barely any scent. I put just the smallest amount and my face instantly feels incredibly hydrated.

Biore Pore Strips - I am sure this product is not new to anyone, but I have made these a staple in my beauty arsenal. I use it one once every week or so and it's a little too strange how stratifying it is. You can clearly see a pore theme here.

Gigi Hadid in Tommy Hilfiger

Zendaya in Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda

Lily-Rose Depp in Chanel

March Favorites

March has come and gone, and as you can see I am ready for tropical April temperatures based on the palm leaves. I have really been trying to step up beauty routine from hair to makeup. I have fallen in love with three amazing products.
  1. Garnier Micellar Water. This incredible product has been the key to helping me maintain blemish free skin. Even after washing my face, I see some makeup residue left behind on the cotton ball. This product gets all the dirt off and my skin looks and feel so refreshed.
  2. Not Your Mother's Clean freak Tapioca Dry Shampoo. I have used SO many dry shampoos and this brand is one of my favorites. The price is right and it gets the job done. The Tapioca version is new to me, but I really like scent.
  3. Urban Decay All Nighter. This setting spray has changed my life! I use a few spritzes of this in the morning and my makeup does not budge the entire day. My makeup looks fresh all day. If you have not tried this, run don't walk to your nearest Ulta or Sephora and pick it up now.

Gimme: Victoria Beckham x Target

Back in October I wrote about the Victoria Beckham Collection coming to Target. October! Today, Target released the outfits on their website and I have found so many cute items I'd like to add to my cart on April 9th! This collection features a lot of drop waist dresses, black and white, and large patterns. This collab is perfect to bring in the spring weather!

Have you seen the collection? What looks are you loving?

Weekly Spread: March 13th-19th

It has been so long since my last weekly spread post! This week I am celebrating my birthday! I thought this kit from Wild Summer Designs was perfect. The girl's style something I would wear, and makes a great fit for a week of celebrating me. My birthday falls right in the middle of the week so it's okay to claim the entire week, right? On Wednesday, my family and I will be having a low key party with pizza and cake. Later in the evening, some friends and I are going to grab a few birthday drinks. On Thursday, my friend and I are going to Paint Nite and I cannot wait!
Right now, we are in the midst of Snow Storm Stella, so I am just looking forward to going home and relaxing. I love a snowy night in. I am very excited to rent Passengers. Yes, I heard it was terrible, but I love J.Law so I don't care!
Stay warm and safe!

Themed Parties: Denim & Diamonds

This weekend I am going on my first wine tour! My friend and coworker is celebrating her birthday in style. We are renting a limo bus and checking out 4 different wineries throughout the day. Along with the fun and excitement of the wine tour, there is also a theme: Denim & Diamonds. This was a new theme for me, but upon doing some research on Pinterest, this is actually pretty popular. I mean, who doesn't have a plethora of denim and fun jewelry in their closet. Since it is going to be pretty cold this weekend, I'm going to opt for the Canadian Tuxedo. I'll be wearing my favorite denim jeans with a lighter denim top and, of course, piles of diamond costume jewelry. I also have these incredible pair of multicolored glitter booties that will be making their debut this weekend!
What fun plans do you have this weekend? What are some of your favorite themed parties?

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is one week away! Twenty-eight. I cannot believe it! This weekend I am celebrating with friends by partaking in one of my favorite activities... Brunch! My girl friend is organizing a big birthday brunch will all of my closest friends and I cannot wait to toast to 28 with the ones I love. In honor of my upcoming birthday, I decided to treat myself to a few things.

Here are some goodies I order this week:

Moon Ring. I love this simple and elegant moon ring with an opal stone. I have been very into simple, delicate rings lately I plan on wearing this daily.

Pink Mules. I wanted to pick up a pair of black mules last spring and for some reason I never did. When I saw these pink faux suede babies, I needed them in my closet.

Unfiltered by Lily Collins. I have always thought Lily Collins was adorable. I loved her in Mirror Mirror and The Blind Side. I really need to see Rules Don't Apply. Hopefully it is on demand soon!

Apps I'm Loving

Here are some apps I have been loving over the past few weeks.

This app features short stories in the form of text message conversations. Most of the stories I have read so far are mysteries. You can even submit your own short story, as well as love and save the stories you really like. The one down fall is that you only get a certain amount of messages and then you have to wait about 40 minutes until reading again. You can pay, but no thanks. But I promise, you will be hooked.

This app is really helping me save money! My friends and I are planning a trip to Vegas in the spring and I have already saved a few hundred dollars without even missing the money from my account. You can set different rules to save as much or as little as you like. It withdraws the money 2-3 times per week and once your bank account goes below $100, the savings are put on hold. This is the first savings app where I have not had any trouble connecting to my bank or over drafting. Highly recommend this app!

Weekly Spread: January 16th-22nd

Happy Tuesday! This week has been pretty wild! I started my Master's program yesterday and I am still in a state of disbelief that it's happening. I am very excited about it, but a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I know once I get my routine down everything will flow, but until them I feel a little unorganized. I tried to keep my planner deco minimal (if you can believe it) so I would have room to add in assignments and jot down reminders. I definitely plan on taking this white spread approach more as the semester goes on. A majority of the stickers used in this kit are from the new Recollections stickers at Michael's. I really love the designs and am looking forward to purchasing more from Recollections in the future! Hope everyone has a great week!

Weekly Spread: January 9th-15th

Happy Tuesday! I am loving this Snow Princess kit from Sticker Bloom. This kit is especially fitting since Buffalo was hit with about 3 feet of snow in some areas. Gotta love that Buffalo weather!
I hope everyone has a great week!
